Welp. Last year I was yammering on about Kacie taking trips to Joann's and now they’re out of business. Maybe this time I shouldn’t name names.
Zuzu is hitting her marks in first grade (en español). She’s also absolutely shredding on her bicycle. She regularly pedals all the way to the beach under her own steam now. She’s mostly in it for the bean and cheese burritos. Kacie is making a name for herself at Capo Unified too and still sewing; but I’m not sure she’ll coach another season of AYSO.
I started a new job in September that inspired me to begin to explore Orange County on the bus. At 8 years old Wally is stealing more snacks than he used to. June is 14 now and just as hungry (and tired) as ever.
Here's to a less cruel and bigoted 2026. May yours in particular be calm and bright.
